Do you think it's the fact that they put in a conspiracey event made it more intrigueing?

Well... What I actually found more intriguing in this film was that, unlike its predecessor, it didn't revolve around the lives of the well off. It was from the impoverished level. The ones who are eliminated during the Purge. It really makes one feel for the victims and how they are targeted.

The Phantom of the Opera is actually considered a gothic horror film.  But some great gothic horror films would be Red Riding Hood, Sleepy Hollow, From Hell, Interview With A Vampire, Addams Family, The Lost Boys, Beetlejuice, and Rocky Horror Picture Show. |
