en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Good_DinosaurThis movie is to be released on May 30, 2014. Not much information has been released so far. I think it looks rather cute. Dinosaur farmers... seems really original. I kinda like it. It's a Pixar movie so I'm sure I won't be disappointed with it.

I'll wait for more information to be released before I say yes to viewing this in the Cinema.
The idea sounds proimising though. Pixar probably wants to erase the memory of Disney's Dinsour in the minds of Disney fans.

I thought from the thread it was a farmer who raised dinosaurs, so when I clicked the link and found out it was about dinosaurs who ARE farmers, I was oddly disappointed. It still sounds like an interesting concept though

John Lasseter gave a vague statement in regards to the film's plot. " He doesn't fit in with the rest of the world. So he goes on a quest and kind of messes it up. He has to set things right again. He meets another outsider. They form a bond." The film-makers called this an orginal idea. I'm not so sure as this plotline has been done before. Several times over actually. I think they meant to say "how it's told" is what gives it originality.

More details have just been revealed at the D23 Expo.
The premise of the film will be “What if that asteroid missed earth?". It'll feature Bill Hader as Forrest, Judy Greer as Ivy and Lucas Neff as Arlo, the title character, as sibling dinosaurs apparently making their way in the world!
John Lithgow will be voicing "Poppa", Frances McDormand (heard most recently in Madagascar 3) will voice "Momma" whilst Neil Patrick Harris will voice an undisclosed character called "Cliff."
The film will also play with a Monsters University short in front of it, titled "Party Central."

As long as they don't go all The Land Before Time on us, I like it. I think there have been so many sequels to the Land Before Time that the dinosaurs are now coexisting with humans.

I wonder if the film-makers will be far enough along in this film to at least give us a Teaser Trailer when Frozen arrives in November?

I'll be very surprised if there's not at least a teaser for this with Frozen. Brave had teasers for Monsters University a year before MU was released.

As long as they take the time to work on tweaking a story that an adult audeince can be emotionally involved in. Then I am willing to wait.
I'm also relieved to see no prequel or sequel taking it's place. I'm so sick of those!

Double post.
The official release date of this film is November 25th 2015.
Hopefully an extra year of re-gathering to tie up loose ends was the ticket.

Hmm, I've only heard of this by it's title. The synopsis sounds quite interesting. Since the human's name is Spot I am wondering if Humans never evolved into the dominant species of the planet. If Dinosaurs never died off I suppose it could be possible as it was their planet first.
I need more information before I can start making judgement however. I'll wait for trailers before I say anymore.

TBH, I'm kinda underwhelmed. The backgrounds and special effects look amazing, but the dinosaur looks way too cartoony.
