This was always my favorite show when I was younger. I now own all the DVDs. The plot was so unique and unlike anything else that ever did or ever has played on Disney Channel.

Having been addicted to this show once again, I thought I'd get all my appreciation out in the open. (Hehe) I agree with what many of the other fans have said. What makes this show so unique is it's tone and detail in the writing. If you were to watch every epsiode chronologically (I'm finally able to do that) you'd notice all the connections and revelations flow beautifully together. But not to the point where you can always predict the outcome. Another excellent quality this show has! It's not afraid to push the boudries with it's contex. It's doesn't dumb the characters' intelligence or the dark tone down. It examplfies the harsh adaption to life in the modern era, the progression of relationships, and the motivation to keep your values and ethics intact. I love how Butters stated her complements on another Board- "The show was a huge risk but it recieved a devoted following for it's wonderful plotlines character destintion". Each character has their place and several moments to shine. And it isn't balck and white either. Every main character had their moment where there was either a lapse of judgment, loss of sympothy, or worse when they actually commited a crime they felt no remorse about. That's entertainment with brutal force. And I love every second of it! I think my true Gargoyle fan is coming out. Who knows, maybe one day I'll get to go to the "Gatheringof the Gargoyles Convention"!
Chelsea- Do you own the second half of Season 2 or Season 3? If you do, how did you manage to buy it? I've been searching for those DVD's everywhere. Yopu have no idea how badly I want to get my hand on them.

^^ At the time, Disney had a strange rule about only allowing 65 episodes per show. (Probably so they could constantly bring in new projects) Since they passed their mark, they didn't have a choice. I'm sure if their creator had the time, money, and authority he would have gon at least another year with this program.

As far as I know, only Season One and the first half of Season Two are on DVD. Reruns air very early in the morning on Disney XD, and I'm not even sure if the third season airs at all...You can find them on YouTube, though. >_>
I've been watching Gargoyles recently. I wish I'd bought Season One on DVD. I wonder if I can still find it somewhere. Anyway, I've been skipping around, watching my favorite episodes. I'd almost forgotten how good Gargoyles is! It stands up pretty well to the test of time, though some things are a bit dated. I saw an episode where Elisa was using a cell-phone. By mid-90's standards, it was a small cell-phone. By 2009 standards, it's huge! LOL
This is getting off-topic, but has anyone read the comics published by Slave Labor Graphics? I've been thinking of buying them. I've heard they're pretty good and I like comics.
Apparently SLG stopped producing the comics because they couldn't afford the high-licensing fees Disney wanted...I wonder if Disney's recent acquisition of Marvel comics will mean new Gargoyles comics?
...my that was a long post!

You're right Butters! You can watch the rest of the seasons on Youtube. I'm very happy about that. My best friend and I just went through a phase where we would constantly discuss the characters and whatnot. I'm so glad i got her into this. As far as I'm aware Disney has no desire to release the rest of Season Two at all. It says on Wikipedia if the sales pick up for the current DVD's they will take it into consideration. But it's been at least 3 years! I'm not holding on a lot of hope.
Personally I was never interested in comics but all the die hard fans have said they're great! They say it keeps the spriri of the show and the contex is even darker. I'm sure you'll enjoy them if you're already a fan. I have no idea what the plans are for Marvel Comics but I'm not sure they'll be too keen investing in Gargoyles. As far as most Disney excutives are concerned, this series is dead. Which is very upsetting how they're all invested in tacky poptart shows nowadays. You'd have to be out of your mind to think Hannah Montanna or Wizards of Waverly Place is better the Gargoyles!
Here's a bit of random information as well. It appears Edward Asner (Hudson) and Keith David (Goliath) have returned to their Disney roots. In very a different but creative format. Mr. Asner was Carol Fredrickson in Up while Mr. David will the villian Dr. Facillier for The Princess and the Frog. I know that's random but I couldn't help but take notice of it.

I knew Ed Asner was in Up, but I didn't know Keith David was going to be in The Frog Princess. One more reason to watch it I guess! ^^
Random thought I had yesterday...Demona seems to ruin a lot of clothes when she transforms from a human back into a gargoyle. While in High Noon she was waiting for sunset in her gargoyle clothes, in other episodes she just transforms in whatever she's wearing. In one ep she's actually standing around in the office building she works in as a human!

I'm gonna double post. I actually bought the comics, Clan Building volumes one and two, a while ago, but never posted it.
I'm not sure if I should discuss them here, in make a new thread, but I will say this: Gargoyle fans, get them!

When I was in school one of my friends started watching Gargoyles and he told me about the show and how much he liked it and I got really curious about it so I picked up the first season on DVD and I loved it! I can't wait to get the first volume of the second season. On Amazon now I see that they have the second volume of the second season up but there's no release date on it yet. Still, this should mean that it's coming out soon!

I just thought I'd bump this thread again to tell you all that you can watch Gargoyles on Disney Video. Every episode is here, even those that were never released on DVD. (Though most of Season 3 is actually non-canon...)

That stinks. Have you tried YouTube? I know that you used to be able to find episodes on there, but that was several years ago.
