^^If you're referring to my post it's sort of like a biography of Amelia Earhart. So if you're a fan of this American icon I say check it out if it's playing at your local Cinema.

Silver, I remember that one now! I saw trailers for it over the summer. I haven't seen or really been in the "know" since college started.

Did you like the movie? I have mixed feelings about it xD, mainly because I liked Greek stories like the Illiad & Odyssey, so I know the complete original story and this adaptation was.... loosely based on it xD. More or less the only things that remained the same were the names xD. But it was quite fun too watch (and it has Eric Bana ) OT: Tomorrow Never Dies!

^I took Classical Mythology this term and we did a comparison of Troy and The Iliad. My teacher hated Troy and everything it stood for. Although, Troy never pretended to be The Iliad or anything. I think it was a good, enjoyable movie on its own. I also think they did a good job of adapting all the legends about it to modern audiences. Our values compared to the Greek values are extremely different, and most of today's audience would not like The Iliad because you can't relate to the characters.

Athena- I took a few courses of Mythology myself in High School. I enjoy the subject but I'm not passionate about it. So maybe that's why I'm so liberal towards the adaptation of the film. I actually give it a 7/10! Even my teacher took a some liking to it. I agree with Spellwoven, they created an interpretation that was garnered more towards the blockbuster audience. That being said compared to most bluckbusters these days I thought this had a highly respectable structure in writing, editing, costumes, effects, stunt choreography and score. And I was very impressed with the performances overall. I actually thought Eric Bana and Peter O'Toole were brilliant! I'll even give Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom credit for helping me take them seriously as actors. (Most of the time I can't stand Brad) Although his accent was by far the worst! But I must say I think Rose Bryne was terribly miscast. So in general this was in no way an Oscar-worthy film but i still thought it was entertaining and well-structured big-budget film. And given if I had the choice I'd rather see blockbusters that resembled this material as opposed to say Transformers.
Hotel Rowanda! (I had forgotten how hard I cried)

13 going on 30
Btw, what about Sean Bean as Odysseus? I think he did a good job on portraying Odysseus, as the witty, mostly non fighting Greek.

How could you . Odysseus is cool The Body - what a weird/hectic movie is that . There were too many groups in it, so you never knew who worked for who and why. And the ending was weird
