The Hannah Montana Movie

As long as the general public can't get enough of all things Hannah Montana, neither can Disney. What originated as a hokily-conceived low-budget sitcom has become one of the company's biggest money-makers, raking in cash in a variety of platforms, including 2008's 3-D concert film. Following on the heels of High School Musical 3 and The Lizzie McGuire Movie, this eponymous film will be closer to the Disney Channel TV series, as it follows Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) and her two close friends (Mitchel Musso, Emily Osment), father (Billy Ray Cyrus), and brother (Jason Earles) to Tennessee, where filming will begin early this May. Beyond that, the plot remains unknown, though a May 1, 2009 theatrical release is scheduled.

Sh...rooms, you mean that's been proven real! God the series is not even that old, I can't stand how Disney has been rushing Disney Channel stuff lately. Of course I won't be seeing this I am not a fan of that show. I doubt most of us are since we are above the target age group. This is one movie I approve of my cousin going to without me.

I like the series and all, but definitely plan on skipping this. I am really tired of Disney choosing for the audience what the audience will enjoy.

Won't be seeing this one at all. I cant really stand the series on tv... why would i want to waste my time and money watching it on the big screen. The acting in it is worse that That's So Raven.

I can't imagine what they could possibly find for a storyline for a movie unless they plan to bust her secret (again) and either end the TV series (which they would never do) or fix it all in the end (again).

Well, the TV series is nearing 3 years, which is about how long the channel bearing Walt's name lets their series go before they end them.
