...has been announced for sometime this coming summer. 45th Anniversary Edition. www.ultimatedisney.com/comingsoon.htmlCan be wrong but they've been pretty reliable. I'll definitely be getting this one. An overshadowed masterpiece. This film has real depth and I love the characterisation. What about you guys?

While not on my favorite list, I'm still going to buy it. It's a similar scenario as with 101 Dalmations. I don't fond over this movie, but it's still fun to watch on a lazy afternoon. And because I don't own it any shape or form, I'd like to own it. And I could conitinue to build up my collection. (Which isn't very much, hehe)

One thing makes me wonder if it will indeed come out this summer. Disney is not even advertising that it's being released this summer. Both The Aristocast and 101 Dalmations do not even have a preview for it, but they do have previews for films being released on DVD this fall.

Thanks for the update. I wonder why they chose not to promote it on the Dalmatians DVD itself. IMO, it makes very little sense to promote direct to DVD sequels and not promote an actual feature length film that Walt himself was involved with.

I agree! and this particular film is such an amusing one that i am sure people will want it!

I won't be surprised if it's just a one disc release with a few special features(sort of like what they did for The Aristocats). I think if they were going to do something special for this, they'd be releasing it as a platinum edition.
Instead, they're releasing it in the summer and are certainly not hyping it very much since they felt it was more important to tell people that they're releasing a Little Mermaid prequel and a Tinker Bell film on the 101 Dalmatians DVD.
You'd think they'd show a bit more respect to a film that Walt worked on in terms of really letting the public know they were releasing it on DVD soon.
