I noticed a hidden Mickey earlier. It's in the party scene at the beginning. As Ralph backs away telling everyone that he's going to win a medal, the balloons near his head form a hidden Mickey.

I mean no disrespect to Brave or it's fans. I like it very much. However I understand why a great deal of people had hoped for this film to take home the Oscar for Best Animated film back in 2012. I think the pacing for this film was more even keel. As such, I find Ralph and Venellope's relationship more satisfying to watch. "Let's just say some tears were shed."

I think Wreck It Ralph occupies an important, if unheralded, place in Disney history. As Disney animation went through some serious struggles especially after Lilo and Stitch. Some movies were flat out box office bombs and others that were supposed to herald the return of animation failed to live up to what Disney expected. So when Tangled became a box office hit for Disney that meant something. And this is where Wreck It Ralph came in.
Wreck It Ralph also became a successful film for Disney. Suddenly they had two mainstream hits in a row and Disney movies became events again. I think the success of this film helped Frozen because it said to the average movie goer that Disney movies were consistently fun and worthwhile again. Along with the more recent Big Hero 6, it also shows that Disney can make successful films that do not feature a princess anywhere in the story at all.
So while it may get lost in the insanity that is Frozen, Wreck It Ralph helped set the stage for Frozen.

I finally saw this movie, too! I liked how clever and original it was. I probably wouldn't buy it, but it'd be fun to watch again.

"Wreck-It-Ralph" is one of the best and most innovative Disney films that I've seen from Disney in a long time. It's fresh, smart, has likable characters and is overall enjoyable.

Wreck-It-Ralph is a great deal of fun to watch.
But I can not become a massive fan if a film is just driven by comedy.
I am all about the gritty drama. Wreck-It-Ralph has it!
The trailers just didn't give an inkling this would be a emotionally gripping journey. I've never been so happy to be wrong. This is why people should really check it out.

Unappealing trailers that fail to even give a hint of the emotional depth that some films hold is one of my major issues with Disney in recent years beginning at least with Meet The Robinsons. That movie was about looking for your family and finding your place in the world, yet the teasers were focused entirely on the random family members who make up maybe 3 minutes of the film.
As I'm not a video game person, I wasn't sure how this movie would be. I was quite pleased to find that the story was far more important to the film than video game easter eggs. I"m sure there were easter eggs in the film that I missed completely, but the engaging story and emotional depth of the quests of Ralph and Vanellope carried this story through.
Ultimately, I saw Wreck-It Ralph in theaters because I really wanted to see Paperman. After seeing Paperman I felt that was money well spent. But when Wreck-It Ralph turned out to be a great movie, I walked out of the theater very happy.

I have confirmation that Alan Tudyk is a TREMENDOUS voice actor because he can truly be unrecognizable!!!! Just saw him in a small role in The Maze Runner sequel. I have seen pics of him in the past but his voice didn't give the slightest indication that he provided the voice of King Candy. I thought I would hear a tiny resemblance since he sounds so similar as the Duke in Frozen. Not a hint. Give this man an Oscar!

Double post A very happy anniversary to Wreck-It-Ralph! Three years old already? Time really is flying. "I'm bad and that's good! I will never be good and that's not bad! There's no one I'd rather be then me."
