Yeah I would prefer it live action as Christmas Carol was born as. And this Christmas would make more sense.

Yeah definitely. Love Christmas Carol we studied it last year in English for part of our coursework. Was pretty good so I'd like to see it live action. I suspect it'd be enhanced by Jim Carrey staring in it! Love him too!

I think it would look better live action then animated really. Though Disney did try A Christmas Carol in Animation Starring Uncle Scrooge as Scrooge and it was pretty good but I just think it would be better in live action since the orginal Christmas Carol was a live action movie to begin with. Yeah I would prefer it live action as Christmas Carol was born as. And this Christmas would make more sense. Book. The orginal Chirstmas Carol is a book. By Charles Dickens. It's very good, and you should read it. It's pretty short. But, I agree, Jim Carrey would be better suited to a live-action movie.

it was a very good book
I don't know about this one though. My favorite version ever had Patric Stewart as Scrooge, i don't know if Jim Carrey will live up to that.

Yeah Patrick Stewart's potryala of Scrooge is my favourite as well. He did an extremely good job and I reckon that Scrooge willl loose a lot of his seriousness and will be more of an angry-funny character. Erm.......kind of like Squiward from Spongebob? it's the best example I can think of at the minute. Like an angry character, but in the way that makes people wanna laugh.

Heehee, the muppet's christmas carole was pretty cool.
In my opinion, I think they should just re-release the first animated one. I mean, Disney is trailing farther and farther away from 2-D animation, which makes me sad. What was their last original, non-sequal thing they did? Brother Bear? Lilo and Stitch? *can't remember*

I agree that they should re-release the original animated version. I do think that this may be good. I just hope that it is done right.

I read today that this is being made by Robert Zemeckis(who also did Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and Forrest Gump) in the stop motion animation style seen in films like The Polar Express and Monster House. This will open up good possibilities for Jim Carrey, but I'm not sure how the animation will go over, especially considering the gag that Pixar threw in during the credits of Ratatouille.

I'm confused now. Is this film going to be animated or live action? Also has anyone found any new links about this film other then what Lau Lau heard?
