I don't understand why people are slandering this film so much. They are making a black woman ROYALTY! Shouldn't that be a form of respect for the race?

At first that's what certain groups wanted. And I agree, I'm glad for crying out lound Disney is giving some diversity. But what really irritates me is the fact that people are nit-picking on how a person of certain race should act. I have freinds of a variety of colors, religions, nationalities and each has their own character & personality. Despite what people say, no one acts a certain way because of theri group. It's all about that induvidual's taste and idreas on life. Every so-called group has it's similarities and differences. While location plays a a part in how a character behaves to an extent. It is not all a person is. Tiiana and all the other characters should viewed a person who has their own traits. Just as all the other Disney chracters were. It's negativley amazing how little the world has changed and how simple-minded peopel can be!
Sorry if I ranted.

I agree. We may have come a very long and wonderful way since the Civil Rights movement(Martin Luther King, anyone who's not a school drop out should know about this), but there are still closed minded people in today's society that believe blacks still have a certain place different from whites. Other nationalities have their versions as well. Same with Women's Lib, there are still closed minded men out there who believe women have their roles and don't belong where males are supposed to be. These still closed minded people of both situations may make up a smaller percentage in today's society than in the old days but sadly they are still out there just the same. It's sad. Sorry for going off topic, I just wanted to agree with that thought Silver. (Hehe, I love how my fav show Quantum Leap makes me feel smart like this I for one already like Tiana even though we have not even seen commercials yet. She not only shares my kid cousin's name, but she looks like a sweet young girl who is a dreamer like all our favorite classics.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a teaser trailer now up. Be forewarned though. This is just a teaser. It tells you about as much of the plot as the Pixar teasers for WALL-E did when they were released a year ago. disney.go.com/disneypictures/princessandthefrog/With that, enjoy.

Is the title supposed to be 'The Frog Princess' or 'The Princess and the Frog'?

Yes indeed Screw the Critics. When my mom and I saw Click we knew that it had not gotten the best reviews but I thought it looked good and so did she. And we talked about how the Critics don't decide weather or not a movie is good, they just give their opinion no different than we do here except its their job and they get theirs posted all over the world. So we don't need to pay any attention to them if we don't want to. Just because they didn't like a movie does not mean no one else will or that its a bad movie.
I am going to see this, and I know my friends and my cousin will as well.

The controversy over this movie is rooted in utmost ridiculousness, and I hate that Disney succumbed to such unwarranted pressure, but at least I can be glad that this marks the return of a 2D-animated musical Disney film. The trailer itself was pretty good, but nothing extraordinarily special.

It looks as though it has potential but it's still far too vague to make any real judgements. And the animation seems lovely. And I can't wait to hear Anika Noni Rose's sininging voice! (And she already seems quite funny) Looking forward to it as much as i have been for the last five months. (hehe)

It's worth keeping in mind here that what we've seen is just a teaser. Hopefully the movie will bring back a 2nd renaissance for Disney animation, but we know so little about it.
