The Little Mermaid: Platinum Edition is due out October 3rd of this year. That's such a long way to wait.

I'm really excited for this one. I haven't seen TLM in years and would love to have it in DVD. ^.^

I have it on VHS but it's almost worn out. It gets really fuzzy during the part where Ariel turns into a human for the first time and sings. I love that part

This is a must have for my Disney DVD collection. The only copy I have is a really old VHS recording that's starting to show it's age. It's so old there aren't any ads during the movie. It was back when Disney Channel didn't show ads during movies.

It definitely will. Now Disney has taken to using the DVD medium to load up their DVDs with tons of extras. They'll probably have an audio commentary with some animators and directors and a lot of featurettes about assorted aspects of the film itself, especially since this film brought about a renaissance for Disney animation.

I will end up buying the Special Edition of this when it is eventually released, but not straightaway
