When I first saw the new Maleficent, a 10 year old boy near me told his mother that it was the scariest thing he'd ever seen in his life. It is impressive.

I definitely agree, it is a huge upgrade from the original dragon that they had (even though I loved it, it honestly did look like a sheet on a stick).
Alright, just to update, I will be going to Disneyland twice in the next few months. On May 22nd, I'll be going with my school choir to compete in the Music in the Parks competition. On June 27th, I'll be going with my church youth group after a shindig in Orange County. So I'm sure I'll have more pictures and stories to share in the near future!

Thank you, Sarah!
Just an update, I am leaving for the Music in the Parks competition tomorrow at 5:15 in the morning (ughhh), so I'll have pictures most likely by Sunday. Also, I'll be at Disneyland again on June 3rd for our school's Grad Nite. It's going to be a completely different atmosphere than a regular trip to the park, so I'm sure I'm going to have much to talk about. And, of course, I'll have another update after my trip on June 27th.

Hello! Back from my first Disneyland trip of the summer! Our competition was great! I concluded my high school years with a gold rating (which is the highest rating you could achieve). It ran a little longer than we expected, so we got into the park at around 2, which wasn't that bad, actually. We were able to park hop from California Adventure (spending about two hours there; we rode Tower of Terror and California Screamin' x 2, with lunch in between) to Disneyland and got in all of the rides we wanted to hit by the time we had to leave at 11 o'clock. Which isn't bad. Once we got to Disneyland, it was around 4, so we were freaking out that we wouldn't have enough time to do anything. Actually, we did everything that we wanted to do, and had time to spare! We pretty much told ourselves that if the line was more than 30 minutes, than we're not going to do it. This actually worked in our favor. The first thing that we did when we got to Disneyland was get a fastpass for Space Mountain, which was a good thing, because by that time, the time for our fastpass was 10:45-11:45 PM, so we planned that to be our last ride. In between, we were able to ride Matterhorn 3 times (which is easy, because the line moves pretty fast, even though it looks long), Indiana Jones twice (this was possible with the Single Rider line we discovered), Thunder Mountain once (we were going to go on it again, but the ride broke down while we were in line), Haunted Mansion, Tea Cups, Peter Pan, Snow White, and Pirates of the Caribbean. By the end of the day, we finished off with two rounds of Space Mountain. If you are willing to split up with your group, I highly suggest doing the Single Rider line. Not all of the rides have it, but we were able to cut through Indiana Jones and California Screamin in as little as 10 minutes. You might even meet a new friend (I did ! Also, if you've never tried the gumbo in New Orleans Square, you should try it! They have steak gumbo, and veggie gumbo for our vegetarians/vegans/pescetarians. It's really good, and super filling with the bread bowl that they put it in. It's right by Pirates of the Caribbean! Stay tuned in a couple of weeks for my report on Grad Nite at Disneyland :]

Surprisingly light crowds for a Saturday. I can't believe that Peter Pan had a wait time of less than 30 minutes.

You were there that Saturday as well? What a small world!
Alright, I'm leaving for Disneyland's Grad Nite in a few hours. I'll be back in the morning with a full report! This should be interesting :]

No, I was there the week before you were. I'm just shocked that Peter Pan had a 20 minute wait time on a Saturday afternoon.

Oh, okay! Yeah, I noticed that too. It was very fortunate :]
Alright, I'm going to have to write something up for Grad Nite because it was an incredibly different atmosphere than any other time I went to Disneyland. Also, I'm going to Disneyland again on Sunday with a group of 30+...we'll see how this goes...
