I was surprised when I didn't see the film listed any where in the sneak peeks, so here it is. It's directed by Aaron Blaise and Robert Walker, written by Chuck Williams, and based upon the only fantasy story by Philip K. Dick. The storyline is about a man who lives in the Mississippi Delta and ends up helping a group of elves, whom name him king. He now finds adventure mixed up with the elves and their hunter, the troll.
Has anyone read Phillip K. Dick's original story?

Never read the original piece but I remember watching a "Made-for-TV" film on this story several years ago. It was cute to say the least. But I'm not sure it holds too much compelling material. Actually I can't say I'm surprised Disney is venturing into this project. Their taste and choices for their new animated projects has been nothing but children's fairy-tales recently. Don't get me wrong I'm glad the Disney executives are trying to find thier artistic strength again. But they have to branch out. Recreating every fairy-tale didn't make the studio so beloved. If they're not going to create & write their own stories like Pixar, they should at least look into different genres. Bambi, Pinocchio, Lady and the Tramp, The Jungle Book, Aladdin, The Lion King and The Hunchback of Notre Dame arn't fairy-tales and they all found success. Sadly I think Disney is becoming redundant.

But at the same time, in my eyes, Disney is just starting up again. I'd rather they start getting back on track with pieces they're more comfortable with before moving onto other grounds.
