disney.go.com/disneypictures/ponyo/ <Mini site I noticed this movie hasn't apeared here yet. Its a studio Ghibli film with disney doing the distributing and such in english speaking countrys, I live in Canada and the trailers all over the TV for its august 14 release. The trailer/mini site is above and noah cyrus and frankie jonas are staring. Theres also cate blanchet and other amazing actors. I'm just so exsited for this! Its based on the little mermaid and looks like so much fun!I also happen to love studio Ghibli flims (spirited away is a good example).

This has been one of my most anticipated films for 2009 and I'm literally busting to see it. Like you Cassie, I LOVE Ghibli films and believe Miyazaki to be an absolute genius storyteller regardless of it being in an animated capacity. I've seen the trailers previously and yes, I'm excited for it

I certainly hope the comany recieves more recognition. Miyazaki films are fantastic! Their stories are poniant, brilliantly clever, sharp and enthralling. This looks so cute! Maybe Coraline will have some competion afterall. But hey maybe film creative teams of pointless dry quality (Like giant blockbusters) will pay attention to how to make films with heart, diligence, and proper technique. I look forward to this. And I'm loving the cast!

The cast is truly amazing! I've loved Miyazakis films for a very long time. Some have simply made me cry, they're so full of heart. Ponyo looks so adorable and the song from thr trailer is very catchy!

I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie! Probably more than any other summer flick this year. It seems very promising, especially because it is another Miyazaki! He is capable of masterpieces, no doubt.

I am looking forward to this too. Unfortunately, I think I am the only one looking forward to it, except my 4 year cousin who isn't really "looking forward" to it so much as just likes movies in general you know. If I can't go with my cousin, then I don't think I will be able to see this movie until it is released on DVD. It is really sad since I think it looks good.

I'm sorry to hear that Alexis. Personally if there's a film I want to see badly and nobody else is interested I just go by myself. (Like The Princess and the Frog and this. I even saw UP alone) I'm not going to miss out on seeing a film that's had me so enthusiastic for months and miss it beacuse nobody wants to accompany me to the theatre. But then again I don't care if I see a film alone. Sometimes I enjoy it even more when I go on my own accord rather then drag somebody else who could care less in the first place.
