I saw there were a few threads dedicated to some films that created mega buzz and recieved either great acclaim or finacial success. And then I saw some fascinating discussions took place. So I decided to do one for one of my favorite recent films! I'm not sure how many people are familair with this film but if you keep track with the Academy Awards or watch art house films, the name might be recognizable. Before I start blabbing about how I love the film I'd like to hear other opinions about this "Breakthrough" film! About it's graphic but heartfelt story, the view of poverty in Indian culture, the praise and bashing it's recieved, and the meassage it sends to other societies. For those who don't know the basic story follows a poor but compassionate Indian teenager who appears on a Game show but is accused of cheating. (It's Indian's version of Who Wants to Be a Millianaire) So to explain himself be examins his past with the authorities to see how his humble if not brutal past has lead him to where he is. So let me know what you think. I'd love to start a discussion. ;D

This is one of my favourite foreign movies. I always enjoy watching it and the theme song keeps me dancing and singing.
