You missed what I stated before though Elliot. I said if "the creative teams keeps the process where the film is both intelligent and hearfelt for families, as well as keeps the plot on course like most other Pixar films then the company should stay on that track." One thing has been certain, Pixar knows what good filmaking is. Each story so far manages a smooth transformation between the introduction to the conclusion. Everything has a reason to be in the film but it creates a family-oriented enviroment so most ages are entertained and pleased with how the film was put together. (Even though there are some films Pixar made that I thought were overrated and I wasn't impressed by. Bujt I can get into that debate some other day) That's what I meant by staying on the same procedure line. I didn't mean do the exact same storyline over and over again like all those cheap straight to DVD sequels.
No I won't disagrree with that sequels should constantly be made just to keep the cash flowing. I believe you're right, I've yet to see any sequel top the orginal piece. (Even The Godfather's sequel didn't have the enough stamina and power no matter how brilliant it was. It just seemed to miss that mark) But I still believe if a film is done for the right reasons it can perform well with many generations enjoying it just as much. Remember this though Elliot, don't judge until you see the film for yourself. I to find it unlikely that every Pixar film to be created will be a smash it. But who's to say a sequel will be the one to mame their company. It very well could be the next origianl film. We won't know until that film comes along. Even if or when it does happen we just have to deal with it and let the company fix it's mistakes. However as of right now it shouldn't be all due to the sequels. If it does then I will gladly acknowledge that you were right. But yes I do understand where your concernes are coming from. Let's just keep our fingers crossed that John Lasster will keep on the straight and narrow unlike Michael Eisner. I have higher hopes for him.
