Frank Marshall (Arachnophobia) directs this remake of a fact-based 1983 Japanese film, in which two Antarctic explorers searching for a meteorite find some bitter weather instead. They leave their team of sled dogs behind and fend for survival. Production was supposed to start years ago, but was delayed when the intended location for the shoot was unsatisfactorily lacking in snow. Production has finally began in British Columbia with a tiny cast that includes Jason Biggs (American Pie), Paul Walker (The Fast and the Furious, Meet the Deedles) and Moon Bloodgood (Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!).
