So it's not as long a wait as I first thought then, which isn't too bad

The book was good; although, I have to admit, most sequels and prequels seem to get out of hand sometimes; nonetheless, it'll be on my monthly movie list when it comes to my city.

I wonder if it will have a longer running time to that of the first one?

Please tell me this isn't happening! Why? I like the first movie very much (though I thought I would hate it). Why do they have to ruin a good movie with a sequel. Sequel's are never as good as the originals. *shakes head*

Often true, but you must remember that the book series is made up of seven books and it is likely they will make at least five of them. So the sequal isn't going to be made from not knowing what else to make, it's from wanting to make the whole series.

Mm, I liked the first, but personally I don't see why they're not doing it in the right order.
The Magicians Nephew first? it's just strange that they're not doing it that way.

Well, I think "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" has always been the most famous of the series. And to those that are upset that they are doing a sequel, this has been planned to make all the series before they even made the first film. And it's not really like it's a sequel. It's an entirely different story.

Although The Magician's Newphew takes place first in the series, it was written sixth (or was it fifth?) in the series. It also contains information that is best learned after reading older books. I haven't seen the first movie yet, but I plan on buying it soon. Prince Caspain was a good book, so I think they movie should be good too
