Why does this movie just smack of a plot to make money off a beloved character using second rate animation and a storyline that's even worse? Sorry if I sound so cynical, but sometimes I look at what the animation studio is producing and think it doesn't deserve to have the name Disney attached to it.

Will this be a direct-to-DVD or cinema release?

They make more money off the direct to DVD, so I'm guessing that's what it will be.

I thought I heard that it's coming out in 2008, but I can be mistaken.

I can't believe it. Tinkerbell has been great fit for Disney beginning with "Peter Pan" in 1953. She first appeared on the small screen on the "Disneyland" TV show back in the 1950's where Tink appears at the beginning of every show. She was appeared in Disneyland theme park in the early 60's where Tinkerbell lights up in every performance of "Fantasy In the Sky". A show featured lots of fireworks that explodes in the sky behind Sleepnig Beauty Castle. She was later appeared at the beginning and episode intro to Disney's "Wonderful World of Color" TV show back in the 1960's. She went back to the big screen with "Retrun to Neverland". She also did a cameo in "The Lion King 1 1/2" where you can see Tink in silouette as well as classic characters from Disney features and shorts all in silouette. Why is Tinkbell in a new movie? I have this sig at the bottom of my post. This pic was from a episode intro for WWOC.

this movie is actually based of the faries book series from disney's hyperion press and more than likely the reason she talks is because the other faries can understand her. where as humans can not.

Rumor has it that Disney is making a Tinker Bell movie. I don't know about this one. I'm not a huge fan of Tinker Bell to begin with. Although it would be interesting if they told where Tinker Bell came from and how she became friends with Peter. i agree here. i also agree here.

That's a total shame. Here's my idea (Similar to The Little Mermaid plot): TinkerBell is Peter Pan's best friend. One day while out Peter Pan is captured by his villian, Captain Hook and his crew. TinkerBell has a beautiful voice and sings magnificently. The Lost Boys tell her that she has a beautiful voice and that any man would kill to hear it. TinkerBell has an idea. She'll offer her voice to Captain Hook in hope that he'll release Peter Pan. Hook is immeaditly interested and takes the voice right out of Tink. Later Peter Pan finds gratitude and when TinkerBell is captured, she'll be released on one condition. Peter Pan must face his worst fear: Growing up. TinkerBell will be released but Peter Pan will age and mature. It's an offer he'll take to help his friend Tink. What do you all think? That's something I simply came up with in 5 mins.
