What do you think about the new Disney XD channel that replaced Toon Disney? From what I've heard, it's suppose to be geared more towards boys. I really miss the old Disney cartoons like Ink and Paint Club, Donald's Quack Attack, and more.

I'm disapointed. I thought for some reason it was a new channel, so when it replaced Toon Disney I was surprised.
Every time I turn on Disney XD it seems to be airing The Famous Jett Jackson or Aaron Stone. Of course, half the time I watched Toon Disney towards the end of it's run it was airing Live Action too so... =/
The only thing I've found worthwhile about Disney XD is that they've been airing Static Shock, which is kind of fun.

I was very sad that they got rid of Toon Disney. I like all the cartoons.

IMO, Toon Disney has been gone for years. Of course when I see the words toon and Disney together, I expect to see cartoons featuring Mickey and friends as opposed to Batman and the Power Rangers.
I think Disney XD is an attempt by the company to appeal to tween boys. I really don't care that it replaced Toon Disney, but then again I never really considered it to be Disneyfied anyways on account of a almost complete lack of Disney as I grew up with it.

Toon Disney used to play 2 hours of "House of Mouse" everyday. House of Mouse was the old shorts BRP the ones that were made in the 80's and earlier. They were put into a newer framework with a mini story before and after the shorts.

I don't have much of an opinion because I only watched Toon Disney once or twice and most of the time I watched it, it was because they played feature animation movies. I hope Disney XD still does that. And now I have only seen Disney XD in the mornings (usually 8-10) because of baby sitting little kids. As for the morning shows they play, I like them. I mean, they are for very young kids, but as far as young kids shows go I think they are really great. I think those shows are better then the tween shows that they play later in the day. But I think I like them better because little kids shows have a lot for the kids to learn whereas the tween shows are mainly just for entertainment. So again, I don't have an opinion, but from what you guys are saying, I really hope they don't stop playing the old(er) good shows like Rescue Rangers and House of Mouse.

Has anyone noticed that Disney XD is slowly turning into Kids WB in the year 2000? They have Static Shock, Batman, Supermand and X-Men Evolution.

It'll be launched in the UK on 31st August. I didn't know it'll be replacing Toon Disney, I thought it would be a new channel added to the existing line up of Disney Channels. From the adverts that have been playing on The Disney Channel recentely, I don't think it'll be a channel that I will ever watch. It seems that it's aimed at boys but since The Disney Channel doesn't have all that many shows aimed at boys at the moment it's probably not a bad thing.

Disney XD isn't a bad channel, it plays superhero cartoons and doesn't afraid of anything.
