Shockingly, the movie index says there isn't already a thread for this. I picked up my copy of the Platinum DVD after work...haven't watched it yet, but the extras look nifty. Did anyone else get the little lunch box thingy?

It's a small lunch box, maybe half the size of a regular one, made of metal with pictures of the characters on it. Very cute. ^^
I watched the movie last night, and it was a lot of fun. I haven't seen 101 Dalmations since I was a teenager, maybe even before that, so it was interesting to see all the stuff I had forgotten.
I watched it with the pop-up facts for fans, and learned a lot of neat facts. Most of them are what animatores drew what characters.

that is neat, i thought about watching it with that on, but it was late, maybe today. I hadn't seen this in at least 10 years, maybe longer. There was a lot i didn't remember about it too.

I bought it yesterday ;D £9 bargain I tell ya, bargain.
But yeah, I got a beanie dalmatian with mine and watched the film last night. I really like some of the deleted songs and its a shame they didn't use them in the final thing. Would have made it even more of a classic, obviously with the classic Disney songs.

I ordered my copy of the DVD, but I'm still waiting for it to arrive. I haven't watched 101 Dalmations in years.

Hmm...I got a small lunchbox, LH got a zipperpull, you got a beanie dalmation...it seems live different giveaways for different areas? If so, that would up the collectablity factor I haven't really checked out the rest of the features, but I think I might look at that first. It always seemed a bit weird to me that 101 Dalmations doesn't have many songs

maybe it is a chain thing more than a region thing *shrugs* i don't know, but it is neat that you get something special with it. I wish i had known about Best Buy though, a plushie would have been much cooler than zipper pulls

Butters: I was surprised too that this movie was not brought up before this. Especially since all of the other versions and sequels were.
I am with every else in that I haven't seen this movie in years and years! But I remember really loving it and having it on cassette with a book, and having a magnet game thing of it too. I really want to see it to refreash my memory of it, but I don't know when I am going to be able to pick up a copy.

I got mine the other day (at Target, so it came with the zipper pulls). It had been SO LONG since I'd seen it - I'd forgotten how wonderful it is! I watched it two times in a row; the second tome with the pop-up facts. ^_^

Has anybody seen the extras on the second disc? In the section where the animators are talking about the xerography process, they talk about a short film they created to test it out.
Is it me....or are the elephants from The Jungle Book in that short? There's even the same bumping into each other sequence. Anybody know the name of this short?
