A staple of Disney comedies of the '60s and '70s, screen star Kurt Russell returns again, to make his second film for the studio in two years. In Sky High, Russell and Kelly Preston (Jerry Maguire) play Commander Stronghold and Josie Jetstream, parents to a boy named Will (Michael Angarano), who is struggling to fit in as a freshman at an elite academy for budding superheroes. Tackling roles as the academy's staff are Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead) as gym teacher Coach Boomer, Dave Foley ("NewsRadio") as teacher of sidekicks Mr. Boy, and Lynda Carter (TV's "Wonder Woman") as the principal of Sky High. Mike Mitchell (Deuce Bigalow) is directing the film. Production for the film ran through last fall, and the filmmakers used California State University Northridge's campus as the set for the school. Disney has high hopes for this superhero film; the studio's acting contracts for the film already consider potential sequels or a Disney Channel series. Michael Giacchino, the man behind the music of The Incredibles, will compose the score. In Theaters July 29 Taken from - www.ultimatedisney.com/intheaters.html

I saw a preview for it last night when I went to see The Longest Yard. I am quite surprised to say that this movie looks really good. I dont think I would mind if I saw this in theatres.

Personaly I think this movie looks terrible. It looks very thrown together, even for a childs movie.

I saw a preview for this movie the other day. I thought it looked alright. I think I might be waiting until it comes out on video and rent it.

Personaly I think this movie looks terrible. It looks very thrown together, even for a childs movie. I couldn't agree more. I don't like the idea or the look. I got the same feeling...that it looked thrown together. No attention was paid to quality.

A live action Incredibles is an interesting proposition. I haven't seen a preview yet, and the posters don't grab my attention, so I don't know what to make out of this one.

I can't wait to see Sky High but I think they copied other superhero movies such as X-Men(The students of Sky High are in a school for mutants like the X-Men) and then That dad has Superman's power But it still looks brilliant!
