Hercules is great. I hadn't seen it until recently. I love that Hades isn't big and scary, just a lot more clever than he is given credit for. Pegasus and Phil are awesome, they are just so funny. Meg's independant streak and anti-man mentality make me laugh.

The second time I ever saw Hercules was in a theater with my kindergarten class. They made us sit front row (being the youngest and shortest) and my head was tilted up during the entire film. I had fun bothering my classmates by singing "I Won't Say I'm in Love" when nobody even knew the song besides me.

This is my favourite Disney movie. A lot of people say it´s bad but I don´t think so(just my opinion). It was different. It had the best Disney Villain in my opinion. I like how they made Hades being funny but still you could take him serious as a Villain. Meg is really not like the Disney Princesses. She is strong and witty and while the most Disney girls dream from love and that stuff Meg doesn´t wanna fall in love. She´s just one of the greatest Disney Heroines that´s sure. Hercules is a great. He is a Hero but still clumsy sometimes. I also like the others characters like Phil, Pain, Panic or Pegasus.

I so love this movie! If you compare it to the actual myth it's like...totally off beat, but I'd say that's a good thing as I would give the myth an R rating. I really liked the puns. Most children would not get them like when hades says "Zeusey,I'm home." That was taken from "I love Lucy" (which was made in the 50's) when Ricky says "Lucy,I'm home." What Meg says about "A couple of rodents lookin for a theme park." She's referring to Micky and Minnie Mouse. I just find this movie amazing. The songs, the characters...you get to see Hercules grow up from a bitty baby to a teen to an 18 year old. Very rare. Megara (She is a princess. Her father is King of Thebes, and when she marrys Herc I would consider her royalitly there cuz Herc, well as a god he would have been a prince since in the movie they made zeus and hera king and queen.) If anyone bothers to read Meg's back round all the men she knew...even related to her were really bad. Male characters I usually have to get used to,but I fell for Hercules right away. You know they were kind of unsure about casting Susan for the voice of Meg since she was Belle on Broadway, but I'm glad they casted her. I could go on and on about this movie an all but for the moment I think I'll stop right here.

Oh jeeze am I allowed to bump this? I love this movie. ;__; I also wanted to respond to this: I thought this movie marked the beginning of the end for Disney. It's clear that there is a decline in quality between Hunchback and this film. This is true. Hercules has a quirky, almost too lighthearted attitude about everything and quality suffers because of it. Against Hunchback, one of Disney's highest quality films, there is no comparison. But, you know, I'd watch Hercules over Hunchback in a heartbeat. The characters were not very well animated. This blew me away a little. Hercules had one of the larger animation teams for a traditionally animated Disney movie. Each major character had its own supervising animator and I think it shows. One of the reasons I adore this movie is the way the characters' personalities are displayed for all the world to see every second of the movie. Really, if anyone ever gets the chance, just youtube this movie and watch one character at a time, especially Hades and Meg. Everyone is infinitely more likable if you keep track of their small, in-between movements, too. Hercules wrings his hands when he talks to Meg, Phil's mouth contorts into any shape imaginable no matter what emotion (he's usually yelling anyway) and every single one of Hades' expressions is a crowning achievement. Aww man now I have to go listen to "I Can Go the Distance" again.

I really liked this movie a lot when I was younger, but I rewatched it a few years ago and it wasn't as good as I remember (but it still wasn't bad).

I didn't really care for the animation. It looked completely unbelievable to me. Very awkward. I know what they were going for, but it just didn't work for me.

I agree, unlike movies like Beauty and the Beast and such that tried to make the characters realistic. Instead they made them look like red or black figures (the style of painting that they did on pottery in ancient Greece). It is not realistic, but it definitely fits the movie, I think it was a good choice to do that, make things different.

I love this movie , probably my favourite. I made a lot of my friends addicted to the movie and the songs by singing and quoting the whole day and ofzourse, by showing the dvd . Susan Egan's voice absolutely fits Meg, I don't think they could have get a better person for that. My favourite song is I won't say It doesn't really matter to me that the drawingstyle isn't that realistic, it's just cool the way it is. This movie wasn't one of my favourites till 2 years ago, when I watched it again since 9 or 10 years xD. I liked it immediately and now it's my fav xD

When I was watching this earlier, I had a sudden realization: Disney's Hercules is an AU fanfic of Greek Mythology. Only...you know, not a fanfic, but a movie.

I think Hercules is a great movie. I can't really decide if it's one of my top, all-time favorites or not but I'm really fond of it. At the beginning of the movie, when everybody makes fun of Hercules and he makes all of the pillars fall, I could really relate to him when he was in that type of situation, because I felt like I was in those types of situations all the time when I was in school! And I just love the animation on Phil! He's my favorite character in the whole movie. You could really tell that Danny DeVito was a big inspiration for his facial features and mannerisms.
